Principal’s message

Welcome to SIE.K!

At SIE-K we believe in the development of the whole child.
We are focused on academic achievement as well as fostering creative thinking, behavior, manners, developing a positive attitude, health and the capacity of expression.
We believe that a child fully develops in a fun, nurturing environment.
Our goal is to create a place where kids are having good times in school.
When acquiring a language it is important that students get the opportunity to practice and apply what they have learned in class.
In a traditional classroom students often miss the opportunity to use the language outside the classroom.
Practicing a new language can also be an intimidating experience for young learners.
Therefore a great way to give students meaningful opportunities to apply their language is to make learning fun!
When students are engaged in a lesson while having fun they are more willing to take language risks and use vocabulary in the classroom.
Having fun while learing also hepls students retain information better because the process has been more enjoyable and memorable.
We believe in creating fun lasting memories for our young learners.
A great way to enjoy a unique learning experience outside a classroom environment is through E-scouting. E-scouting is not only good fun, it allows students to absorb, interact and immerse themselves in a practical way.
Using thematic learning we integrate a main theme across the curriculum such as math, reading, science, and language arts.
This approach helps students build a knowledge base to learn naturally in a more meaningful context while building their listening, speaking, reading and writing language domains.
We additionally stress the importance of Character and safety education by creating engaging leseeons that teach our learners how to make wise decisions and act on them.
Overall at SIE-K we are interesting in developing students that have a sense of wonder and creativity.
We want to challenge our students while allowing them to discover their environment and ultimately give them.
